I don't need to complete the picture
The pieces can stay on the floor
I can live with the image before me
The spaces I tend to ignore
I loved the promise of this life
I was eager to join in the race
But I've been overtaken so many times before
I chose to give up the chase
Life for me should be an easy stroll
The Primrose Path leads to memory lane
Let nature's beauty live on in my heart
Along with love, I could never restrain
The route I've taken it charms me
I see magic wherever I go
I feel the love in everything connected
I'm just glad to be part of the show
So now I walk the Primrose Path
I have time to take in the view
Our destination may be the same
But there are other dreams that I must pursue
And as for those, that chose, the steep and thorny road
Those that expose their scars to me with pride
All I see are blinkered eyes and their stone cold hearts
And all the sins they try so desperately to hide
I don't need to complete the picture
I don't need to complete the picture
I don't need to complete the picture
I don't need to complete their picture
The pieces...
Can stay on the floor
I slip and slide on the petals strewn
And take pleasure in each step I tread
I may meander between right and wrong
But I'm well aware of what lies up ahead
So now I walk the Primrose Path
I have time to take in the view
Our destination may be the same
But there are other dreams that I must pursue
I don't need to complete the picture
